Terms of Service - Plotfy

By using Plotfy, you agree to these terms. We've written them in plain language because we respect your time.

Your account

You must be 18 or older to use Plotfy. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately at hello@plotfy.com.

Your content

Everything you write in Plotfy is yours. You retain full ownership of your stories, characters, and notes. By using Plotfy, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the service to you. We will never claim ownership of your writing or use it for any other purpose.

Acceptable use

Plotfy is for writing fiction. You agree not to use Plotfy to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Subscription and billing

Plotfy offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. After your trial, a subscription is required to continue using Plotfy. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually depending on your chosen plan. You may cancel at any time — your access continues until the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

Price changes

If we change our pricing, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance by email. You may cancel before the new pricing takes effect if you choose not to continue.

Service availability

We work hard to keep Plotfy available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any loss of data or productivity caused by downtime. We maintain regular backups and will do our best to restore service quickly in the event of an outage.

AI-generated content

Plotfy uses AI to generate Whisperlines, Story Compass directions, Voice Fingerprints, and Story Echoes. These are suggestions only — you are always the author. We make no warranty about the quality, accuracy, or suitability of AI-generated content for your specific creative work.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days per our privacy policy.

Limitation of liability

Plotfy is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the state where Plotfy is incorporated.
