Story Warm-Up
Feature 1 of 7
When you sit down to begin a new story, you don’t always know where to start. Story Warm‑Up meets you with a simple opening question and a short conversation — something gentle, human, and easy to answer — so you can ease into the creative space instead of forcing your way into it.
What I'm hearing is a mother and daughter caught in the after of something — a betrayal that never got said out loud. She's staying quiet because the truth might cost her the one relationship she has left. The heaviness between them isn't really about him anymore. It's fear, wearing the shape of distance.
Does this feel right, or is there something you'd want to shift?
Why it matters
A blank page asks everything of you at once. But a conversation asks only the next thing. As you move through a handful of questions, you stop overthinking and start responding. Your answers begin to reveal tone, direction, and the emotional center of what you’re trying to write. By the end, you’re not searching for a beginning — you’re already in motion.
One honest question
A small spark breaks the silence.
A brief conversation
A few answers reveal a path.
A direction you feel
A shape forms. You follow it.
